Useful information about how to get to our Italian language School in Florence

By car

The A1 "Autostrada del Sole" motorway links Milan to Rome. Take the Firenze Nord Exit. For added safety, we recommend to contact your automobile club for information and street map of Florence.

On Italian highways you are expected to pay a toll to the service stations that are open 24 hours a day. On other roads and cities, opening hours of gasoline stations are: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Out of these hours, you need to refuel in the self-service gas stations where you can pay with 5, 10, 20 or 50 Euros notes.

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci in Florence is located in Via Bufalini 3, just behind Piazza del Duomo, in the historical centre. This is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) where it's not possible to drive by car from Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, and on Saturday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. In Florence, parking areas and garages are extra. You can visit the website www.firenzeparcheggi.it for searching the nearest garage to your accommodation or the most affordable weekly or monthly rates.

By train

There are several night- and Eurocity-day-connections with Italy. People under 26 years may receive special discounts.

Reservations for sleeping car or couchettes should be made as early as possible, since the trains to Italy are often overbooked, especially in summer.
