Intensive Fashion and Italian Course
The Intensive Fashion and Italian Course is a two week curriculum, during which students will follow two parallel paths: 4 Italian language lessons every morning in international classes and in the afternoon 4 hour practical lessons, both held at Accademia Costume e Moda - ACM (Rome Costume and Fashion Academy).
In the two weeks of the course, the teachers at ACM take students through intense training, intended to help create an piece or an original model on their own. Sectors covered by the course: Design, Modeling and Prototyping Bags; Design, Modeling and Prototyping Shoes; Costume for the Performing Arts; Communication, PR and External Relations; Introduction to Fashion Design; Fashion Portfolio; Fashion Drawing.
Along with the specialized classes, we provide an Italian language course in which students have the daily opportunity to enhance their communication skills, working with people from all over the world under the guidance of language professionals in a stimulating, relaxed, and fun environment.
Specialization Course: Costume, Fashion, makeup
This postgraduate course is provided as avenue of advanced training for those who wish to aquire professional expertise in one of the areas that the course offers: Design, Modeling and Prototyping Bags and Shoes; Fashion Styling; Fashion Marketing and Advertising; Fashion Design; Visual Merchandising; Art and Craft of ‘Costume Designer’; 3D Modeling; Bijoux and Jewelery.
During the ten weeks duration of the course, participants will follow a weekly 10 hour technical lesson (4 hours on Friday and 6 hours on Saturday, for a total of 90 hours of specific training), during which they will train under the professionals of ACM. The training course provides theoretical portion, but mostly consists of lectures and practical training in the classrooms of the Academy. At the end of the course, the participants are able to either enter the work force or continue Training with university courses that the Academy provides. Continued education allows students to acquire, as well as a high- level training, a certification officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Beside the technical training, the course provides Italian language training through a 10 week intensive course (4 lessons per day, for a total of 200 lessons). In this way the students can develop their language skills on a continuous basis throughout the period of stay.
