Italiano on-air, the podcast on Italian Languate, is back with a new season

The Scuola Leonardo Da Vinci podcast is back on air for its eighth season.

We are thrilled to see the podcast's continued success, with a significant increase in listeners. We are incredibly grateful to the thousands of loyal fans who support us week after week. For those who do not know the podcast, a new episode is published on our website every Wednesday at https://podcast.scuolaleonardo.com.

Our podcast, dedicated to the Italian language, is the right tool for examining new terms, learning idioms and grammatical rules, and practicing listening.

SEASON 8 BEGINS WITH AN EPISODE DEDICATED TO PINOCCHIO

A story has greatly influenced the Italian language: Carlo Lorenzini's tale of Pinocchio, known as Collodi. On this blog, you can read a post dedicated to the expressions that originate from the story of Pinocchio.

The story of Pinocchio is so noteworthy that we have dedicated two episodes of 🇮🇹ITALIANO ON-AIR🎙️ to discover some expressions invented in the tale and then become commonly used.

Below, you can listen to the two episodes.

PINOCCHIO E LA LINGUA ITALIANA - EPISODE 1, SEASON 8

In this new episode, you will discover why, in Italian, we say "ridere a crepapelle", what is the "paese dei balocchi" and why we say "sono fritto" when we don't see a way out of a bad situation.

COME NELLE FAVOLE - EPISODE 6, SEASON 4

As anticipated, we already discussed the idioms related to the tale of Pinocchio in the fourth season. In the episode, we described what is referred to when two people are called "il gatto e la volpe" and what it means to be a "grillo parlante".
